Handpainted Buttons By Linda K. Ellison

Linda has been painting for the past 10 years. Before that she was into many types of crafts,{crochet, quilting, embroidery, cross stitching and designing original teddy bears, which can be seen on this site}.

Through the encouragement of her friend, a serious button collector, Linda started painting buttons for collectors in the fall of 2000. Linda has joined her local button club, as well as the Nation Button Society.
Deciding what to paint on was the hardest part, so you will find buttons painted on porcelain, wood, glass, cloth, and hard telling what else in the coming months. You will also see from time to time buttons sewn with beads and embroidery floss. Until Linda finds a source for self-shank porcelain in the size she prefers the porcelain, wood, and glass buttons will have glue on shanks (picture below). The cloth, beaded and floss buttons are self-shank.

Button Backs

Linda's buttons are painted with Acrylic Paints and are sealed at least 3 times. These Buttons are for Collectors Only and are NOT TO BE WASHED.

The glass buttons need to cure for 2 weeks, so orders will take at least 2 weeks before shipping.

NEW BUTTONS WILL BE APPEARING OFTEN, SO CHECK BACK SOON!

Linda prefers to paint freely, but if you see a button that you like and it has been sold, please feel free to email her with your order. Just keep in mind these buttons are all handpainted and though they may be similar, no two will be exactly the same.
